An angler’s paradise

With five lakes, each up to 1.5 acres in size, and fishing restricted to a maximum of 18 ‘pegs’ on each lake, Wooda Lakes is perfect for unhurried, uncrowded fishing.

There is no close season and the lakes are very well stocked with tench, roach and bream, with two of the ponds set aside specially for carp – some specimens are up to 25lb (11kg) in weight. And, for a bit of variety, there’s excellent sea fishing on the coast, and several other day-ticket coarse and game fisheries in the local area.

Set in 22 acres of tranquil Devon countryside, Wooda Lakes offers superb pine lodge accommodation. The lodges are clean, comfortable, modern, spacious, fully furnished and fully equipped. With central heating and double glazing, and all heating costs included, the lodges are suitable for year-round occupancy. All the lodges overlook the fishing lakes and have views across woodland and down the green and sheltered valley.
